Hi Everyone, It feels like just a few weeks ago that I was counting the days to the Opening of the Club. It’s incredible that the summer has once again seemed to go by so quick….but, maybe, that’s just a byproduct of the fun we’ve had – particularly at SHYC. But, with that said, the good news is the fun is not over yet. While we have all sorts of events throughout our brief season, there are 3 fairly intensive weekends of programming SHYC – Opening Day weekend, July 4th weekend, and Labor Day weekend – and, here we are, Labor Day weekend! To start, let me take a moment to run down the schedule for the weekend. Labor Day Weekend 2024 Friday, August 30th 6:00 pm (18:00): 2024 Annual Members Meeting Note: All are encouraged and welcome to attend! Post Labor Day Club scheduling Now, for the bad news. After Labor Day, the club is closed with the exception of the two weekends following Labor Day. Please note, this includes launch service not being available. Launch service and Clubhouse are open on the the weekends of September 7/8 and September 14/15. Hours for both on these two weekends is 8:00am – 5:00pm. The Galley’s final weekend will be Saturday and Sunday, September 7th and 8th. Work Party (SAVE THE DATE) – Saturday, September 28th 9:00am (09:00) As always, many hands make quick work! More info on this as we get closer to the date. Last and certainly not least, thank you to all the volunteers (and staff!) that have continued to make this such a great summer. I’ve said it before, we are a predominantly volunteer Club, and our programming / events (and fun!) are a byproduct of their hard work.
